What brand of PLC can I use with ITS PLC Professional Edition?
You can use a PLC from any manufacturer. The interface between the PLC and the PC is made with a DAQ board from Advantech, with 32 isolated I/O channels that support input voltages from 5V DC to 50V DC or dry contact, and output voltages from 5V DC to 40V DC.
I do not have a PLC with the required number of inputs/outputs. Can I still use ITS PLC Professional Edition?
Yes, it is possible to control the systems with a PLC with 12 inputs and 8 outputs, if you are not using the Start, Stop, Reset, Emergency buttons, and the led indicators from the Start and Reset buttons. You can use internal PLC variables or an HMI equipment to simulate those command buttons.
Can I use a different DAQ board with ITS PLC Professional Edition?
No, the current version of ITS PLC Professional Edition only works with the Advantech USB-4750 DAQ board.
Can I use a hub to expand my USB connections?
Yes, however you should not connect all your devices to the same hub. Distribute the connected USB devices to maintain optimal performance.
After I buy an ITS PLC Professional Edition license can i install it on multiple computers?
To use ITS PLC Professional Edition on multiple computers you just need to install it and move around your USB license key. Only the computer with the USB license key can communicate with the PLC.
